CKE is a leading restaurant chain with both a US and international footprint. Carl’s Jr. Restaurants and Hardee’s Restaurants have over 3,800 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 44 states and 43 foreign countries and US territories.
Challenge
As Google reviews play a more prominent role in modern business, CKE faced the task of cleaning up their online image. They made significant process changes, and made sure each team member embraced a customer satisfaction first mentality.
The challenge was to create a volume of positive reviews that would start to boost their overall ratings, system wide.
Solution

CKE recognized the need for an easy way for consumers to leave a review, so they contacted their usual printer to see if there was a way to produce store specific, QR coded materials and ship to each store. That printer “no-bid” the project because of its complexity and high risk for errors (the graphics featured nothing to connect each QR code with its respective store). They reached out to their Reputation Management partner who recommended Markitplace, because of Markitplace’s reputation as experts in print production and fulfillment, specifically for franchised, multi-unit businesses.
Result
By partnering with Markitplace, CKE was able to increase the volume of reviews for each store in their system, which is helping to increase their overall ratings, and boost overall sales.
100% accuracy
Each store in the system received bag stuffers, window graphics, and other POP items that featured a QR code that guided patrons to their particular store. This dramatically increased each store’s volume of reviews. There were zero instances of mis-shipments or any other kind of mistake.
